Thanks ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one, the weirdest thing about it is my honey bunny loves the weight I've gained, since most of it is in my hips, thighs and butt. ( He's a butt man ) he's been awesome, telling me he thinks I'm the sexiest pregnant woman he's ever seen. I only have half a uterus and it will be a c-section, so hopefully I'll be scheduled around 37 weeks. I'm going to stay strong on my cravings until then!
I'm 26 weeks and have gained 18# so far. The problem is, I'm short at 5'1", and my BMI was 26 before pregnancy. I am going nuts with this weight gain, and I'm so scared to have to lose it in the middle of winter! But, the doctor has not said anything negative about it. So, I'm just hoping the gain isn't really 1# per week from here on out. It's really difficult to stick to 1800 calories when I'm craving EVERYTHING! I'm sure you are just fine. But, I worry just like you :)
This is my first pregnancy and I am 34 weeks and have gained 34 lbs. I'm disgusted with it but its not noticeable and my doctor keeps saying "perfect" . I was underweight (116lbs) at 7 weeks. So she says 10lbs don't count BC I need to keep those 10 after baby and should of been that before :/
I have gained 30 pounds so far at 26 wks i know its alot but i was under weight when i got pregnant i gained a lot with my first son and this will be my third baby and my dr keeps threatning me with gd when my bp and everything has been fine shes stressing me out i thought weight gain was normal during pregnancy :-(
My first pregnancy i gained 22lbs but i was skinny then so at birth i was only 165lbs. This time am 33 weeks 194lbs. I just tell myself i will never see that on a scale again after this pregnancy. But i warned my nurse that i will scream the day i hit 200lbs lol
And if you plan on breast feeding that a healthy diet and some excersise will help you lose it all no worries
I went from 110 to 192 with my first pregnancy, I lost 20 after I gave birth but that still a lot of weight to gain during pregnancy!! I did the same thing this, said I wouldn't gain all the weight again I definitely don't eat as much but this pregnancy I started at 140 I'm 30 weeks and already 175.. I just gain a lot of weight during pregnancy I can't help it. It ***** but I'm used to it!
Ladies, I have to be honest with you, I crave nothing but sweets. I do try to limit myself to one really sweet thing a day, like one piece of whatever chocolate candy I have in the house. Trust me, if I just let myself go, I'd be eating a full bag of mini snickers a day, along with a few ice creams. Cereal is my favorite and I'm not talking the healthy stuff, I'm talking children's cereal. I really am trying to hold myself back though. I've been on top of the eating thing for the past month or so.
I don't think you should worry too much about weight gaining. Just make sure you eat the right healthy food then you'll lose it all back when the baby comes. Also when you're young your metabolism works fast so you dont really put weight on but when older it does slow down. Have noticed most young girls dont pit weight on when pregnant. Am 32 weeks and have put on 7.5kg
I've gains 40 pounds and was told I should only gain 30. It bothered me at first, but my midwife said that when she was pregnant, she gained 50 pounds and her baby was only 6.5 pounds, and she is a slender woman. She said that as long as you're eating healthy, you don't have to worry. Your body will gain as much weight as it needs to, and you'll drop it afterwards. She said not to get hung up on weight, because everyone is different, and it's stupid to think that "average" is where you should be, since the average is made up of people who gain less AND more than what they tell you you should gain.
