So its almost that time to have my baby and im clueless about birthcontrol. Any i have had through the years has been terrible with my emotions. Whst do u guys think? What is the best birth control and why? Btw i hate pills i can never rem to take them!

Our pediatrician said that every one of her colleagues/women in her office had an IUD. They all apparently love it. I also know many other ladies around here that have one. I've only heard one say anything negative about it. The rest rave about their IUD. I know ladies with both Paragard (copper) and Minera (hormonal). I think they maybe worth checking out.

Oh, just remembered; if your emotions go crazy with birth control, I would check out the copper IUD. It can be left for up to 10 years and is hormone-free.

I was put on Depo right after my daughter was born. I had a terrible time: depression and mood swings so bad it almost ended my relationship. Depo Provera is used as a chemical sterilizer for sex offenders. Probably the single most effective birth control barring a hysterectomy! It does not have that effect in all women but I would be extremely careful with it.

I love the NuvaRing but if you are going to breastfeed you won't be able to use it because of the progesterone. If you can not be consist with pills I would look into an intrauterine device (IUD). I had cervical scarring with Mirena, but that's rare.

I HATED the depo abnormal bleeding and weight gain r the most common side effects. Like tomorrow264 said some ppl actually have no periods at all while on depo but for those who get that random bleeding its sooo annoying..I took one shot and never ever ever again. Then I used nuvaring and loved it. So easy.

After having my last child I went on the depo shot. It worked well for me because I am awful at remembering to take a daily pill and it didn't interfere with breastfeeding. It is true that it can increase your appetite but I never had any issue with gaining weight on it. My favorite part was not having a period the entire time I was on it.
