Itchy scalp?

I am 13 weeks and for the last week I have extremely itchy scalp!! I have not changed my shampoos recently, and I don't have lice lol. I did start a high blood pressure pill last Monday, but can not find anything to do with that. Just wondering if it is just the weather or is it a weird pregnancy symptom :/

Be careful about what chemicals are in the anti dandruff shampoos. I don't know if they are safe to use during pregnancy.

Wow who knew this is a pregnancy symptom. I have never had it so did not know for sure. Guess I better go buy new shampoo.

Omg my hair has been it him like crazy. And my skin like all over my body an mostly at night.. Is that normal?

Gotta love hormones! My hair has become super oily and I have itchy dry scalp. Not my favorite part of pregnancy.

Our hair and oil in our hair changes dramatically in pregnancy. Some women get oily hair others get dry skin including on their scalps. Switch to a mild shampoo (even a baby one will work well) and it will ease the scalp from drying out and itching. I get eczema in my scalp and have always had to use a mild shampoo to stop me itching. You might have to wash your hair twice a day to begin with. You'll find that most likely all returns to normal after baby arrives :-)
