Lesser of 2 evils

Ok so here is the deal...with one prenatal I am nauseous 24/7 but I am not as constipated, with the other prenatal I am not as nauseated but am severally constipated. Which is the lesser of the 2 evils? Either way I have to take a stool softner twice a day...

Buy trader Joes dissovable folate and b 12. Since it dose not have iron which is the cause of many nauseating symptoms. That is all that is needed to decrease the baby's chances of spinabifada.

Split the prenatal in half, to most likely the iron and just take on in the am and one at night.

I take the gummy prenatals from walmart.. they taste like candy! never made me nauseous, constipated, and they're cheap! I don't judge people who don't take them, but I choose to. plus, a lot of women have had complications due to the baby taking all of their nutrients & them not compensating for it.. I know of someone who had to see a specialist because of this.

the vitamins help you & the baby out.. talk to your OB about that, and consider flinstone's or the gummy ones from walmart!! & remember to take *2* a day!
good luck!! (((:

Gummy prenatals... they don't have iron so are gentle on the stomach. Just make sure you eat foods that are iron rich.

I don't take them and haven't for either pregnancy. All brands,  I've tried 20, make me sick. My body just can't handle them. Doctor told me it's not worth it being sick 24 7.

I too eat very healthy and I'm very conscious about what I feed my baby. But I still do take a prenatal. I've found one I really like that's food based that's a non constipating formula. I found it at whole foods (I don't know if you have those where you live, but any health food store should have some) . I do take them at night though to avoid feeling sick.

I'm not suggesting you don't take one but just to enlighten you I will tell you I'm 18wks tomorrow and hsvnt taken one single prenatal my whole pregnancy. The reason being is a couple, one is BC I felt sooo good that I did not want to bring on either constipation or nausea. Two I just don't think for me personally its necessary BC of the way I eat. I get everything my baby and I need from the healthy foods I consume not needing to "supplement" with man made products. I think that is unfortunately why a lot of women suffer horribly in early pregnancy , its their body adjusting to the extra stuff contained in prenatals that they are not use to taking. My opinion would be to talk to your doctor and find out a better solution. Personally being sick is worse than not taking a prenatal. Best of luck to you! BTW- I do take a folic acid supplement everyday and my labs have always been beautiful and my baby is growing normally. So before anyone bashes me for not taking them k ow that I live a very healthy, clean eating life style and was not suggesting everyone should boycott prenatal vitamins, just a right decision for me personally :)

Take 2 Flintstones instead. Most drs will tell you it's fine if you can't tolerate a prenatal.
