Lots of mucas

I have a lot of built up mucas in the back of my throat and I am very stuffy. What decongestants are safe to take during pregnancy? I am currently 25 weeks pregnant.

Try simple salt gargles 3-4 times a day, steam and lot of warm liquids.. tht will Def help and give some relief...

Most of the otc stuff just suppresses coughs. If you really want to help break up mucus, drink plenty of fluids-water. (Dairy will thicken it) It will help it come out easier. There's mucinex but I've never used it n I'm sure the label will say to check with your doctor if you are pregnant, before using.

Does robitissin help with breaking up mucas? That's what I'm having a problem with, not so much a cough.

Robitussin is safe also. I just went to walmart and got me the biggest bottle. Benedryl isn't doing anything except making me sleepy right now. I have kept sinus infections since the weather has changed and I refuse to get back on antibotics this close to my due date.

I actually just looked online for my Dr's office (I forgot there was a list) and it said pseudoephedrine is fine to take.

They recommend you take medicines without decongestants bc they aren't safe during pregnancy
