I also have factor V but my doctor is only having me take blood thinner for 6 weeks after delivery. I was induced at 39 weeks with my first and I will be induced this Sunday with my second child, also at 39w. I would recommend taking the heparin because induction contractions are much stronger and more painful. Most people (but certainly not all) get an epidural if they are being induced. If you end up not wanting the epidural, great! Even though it's more expensive and more inconvenient, unless you know if you can handle the induction contractions, I'd hate to have you limited if you wanted to change your mind. For me, I had a wonderful delivery after my epidural (before the epidural was hellish...), it was calm and I was relaxed and could focus on the details of the moment.
