How would you feel or want to do if......
I was diagnosed with Gestational hypertension at 28 weeks and have been on 3 different types of meds and doses to control it nothing keeps it down for long. The farther I get the greater the chances of it becoming preeclampsia. So my dr was just trying to get me to 37 weeks before anything happens and now that I'm almost 37 weeks she wants to keep going until something does happen. I honestly don't want to wait until something happens because I for one don't want to loose my baby or die and leave my children without a mommy. I feel the risk are to much to keep going and he's considered full term Thursday and know he should be just fine. What would you mommy's do? I am scared to death of going until something happens to me/us. I am a nervous mess.

Thanks! I have an appointment tomorrow and am hoping she understands my concern. I have asthma too and the meds I'm on don't mix well... Even says so in all the warnings and now I am struggling with breathing. Good luck too you hope all goes well!

I was in the same boat the other day but i have choleostsis and my Dr was going to induce at 37 week's if nnothing happen before then. Then he tells me the same thing that he was just going to let me go on my own. I just talked to him and told him my concerns that the risk if stillborn goes up high after 37 weeks I dint want to be stressing everyday about that now he's inducing me next week if the baby doesn't come before then

It's really a personal decision, everybody's feeling are different. I honestly don't know what I would do because I've never been in the situation. You should look at the pros and cons of both options and discuss it with your doctor. Good luck.

I guess I would tell my Dr my concerns. If my Dr didn't listen I would try to talk to another Dr for a second opinion.
