With my son, I used a shield but I ended up not having luck after a couple weeks..
The hospital I deliver at has them. I always get a couple to go home with. They are washable and reusable. I would ask the hospital. I'm not sure if they are at the store I've never looked. I don't see why they wouldn't be in the same area as the bottles and breast pads.
Thanks for the advice, actually helps a lot. I didn't know about a nipple shield. Any suggestions on where can I get one?
I have inverted nipples as well and I used a nipple shield to get my baby to latch then after they've sucked on the breast for a few minutes you can pull baby of remove the shield and latch baby to the nipple. You can also try rolling your nipple with your thumb and forefinger right before feeding to get your nipple to pop out. I breastfed both my kids and Plan on it with this one as well good luck. I started with the nipple shield so I recommend that. With my second I just kind of pinched and rolled my books enough to get it to where baby could latch.
