I'm planning on breastfeeding my baby whenever he is born. I'm 31weeks+3days and I have not leak any colostrum yet. When will I start having leaking colostrum?

I never leaked anything. My son is now a month old and my supply is awesome. I pump an extra 8-10 oz a day in top of exclusively breastfeeding him. Same with my older son. I breastfed him for 9 months. Most women don't leak anything until their baby is here.

I leaked with my first but not with my 2nd and I breastfed both. Some leak and some don't. Don't worry. Your milk will come in after baby is born :)

I leaked starting at 14 weeks. I'd wake up with a wet shirt and when I'd feel my daughter move it was like a fountain. I never stimulated it or anything. I thought my milk would be there as soon as I gave birth since I seemed to have a lot already. But my milk didn't come in for almost 5 days after delivery. I was so worried I wouldn't be able to breastfeed. The doctors wouldn't even discharge me until I gave my daughter an ounce of formula. I couldn't even be the one to give it to her. I cried while she drank it. But I was persistent and patient and my milk came in and I nursed for 16 months. That goes to show that leaking doesn't mean anything.

Most people dont leak until baby is born its normal.  It will happen dont worry !

Hey i didnt leak until i had my son but unfortunatly my supply was very low and he was unsettled so i had to put him on furmula afyer 2 weeks and express any milk i had to top him up with that but everyone is so different good luck

I will be asking my ob on my next appointment just to ease my mind. I wanted to know your experiences and opinions.

Im 39 weeks n i've been leaking since i was at 36 weeks but everyone is different n i also plan on breastfeeding my little one.

Good post momma am in n the same boat, I am 34weeks and haven't leaked any yet. It worries me cause I have no back plan I have been planning on breastfeeding, so have everything I need for it . I have read it can come after our little ones are born, and they begin to nurse.  I hope so.
