ICT Test Positive in First Pregnancy

My wife is Rh negative and she is now 28 weeks pregnant. Yesterday she had the routine visit to her hospital and ICT test was done. The result was positive and the doctor was surprised to see and doctor said to repeat the test once more as there may be an error. We did it again and again the result was positive. Doctor told us to have doppler scan today and everything was scanned today.
After seeing the scan results ,the doctor said everything is fine.
But when i was checking internet database, its said that ICT positive means, she may have developed antibodies which may attack the growing baby and she have to take an injection.
Please advice us whether injection is done is first pregnancy also.
Everyone says its done after first pregnancy .

Please help

I am rh negative. With my first pregnancy I got the shot at 28 weeks. This is my second pregnancy and I got the shot a few weeks ago... if I go over my due date I will need another one.

I just found out that I am Rh negative and my doctor told me I will need an injection at 28 weeks (first pregnancy). She said its only a concern for second pregnancy if I develop antibodies. I would talk will your doctor again if you have concerns.

As I understand it, as she has already developed the antibodies it is too late now for her to have the injection.  What will happen is the baby will be very closely monitored and the drs will try to establish if the baby is rh positive or negative.  Depending on the blood type of the baby, if the baby is being affected by the mother's blood it may need a blood transfusion or may be born early by c section.
