My husband and I opted for genetic testing because I know I already carry at least 1 genetic disorder. I'm going to be setting up an appointment for a sequential screen soon as well.

Anyone else doing this testing? What is a sequential screen like?

I didnt do the blood test they suggested bc I read it wasnt accurate and my dr told me it would be even less accurate since I'm high risk. If I had planned my baby I would have had genetic screening for both of us but since hes already being made lol. Goodluck and best wishes.

I had it done just because they saw something on babies brain and wanted to c if baby had any disorders due to it everything was a Ok :-)

I had the test done. They just draw your blood and test it for certain markers for certain disorders. Based on those markers they can give you a probably or percentage that the baby will have that disorder. But it's just a probability, no guarantee that they will or will not have the disorder.
