Has anyone been told wrong gender ??

Ok so I went for a private scan and the baby had the cord between its legs the lady took so long trying to figure out gender she then said boy but I couldn't see it this is my third I have a boy and that was so clear when they did gender with him and I have a girl too and that was clear but this one was not clear at all in just wondering if anyone has been told it's a boy and it turned out to be a girl I have my anomaly scan in a few weeks so will get them to double check too

Mine was 4d but still didn't see anything the lady was in her late 70''s and the place I went to although I didn't know when I booked or even went for the scan is closing down on the 24th Dec due to her retiring I'm just not 100% sure she was right as with both my last you could clearly see and on this one you couldn't see anything but cord I go next Wednesday for my 20 week scan at 21 weeks so will be making sure

My private ultra sound they guaranteed gender on the 4d scan or your money back. I was 30 weeks though.

I was just told it was rather common so wanted to see if anyone on here had had it happen

In my opinion, it doesnt matter if it happens to someone else or not. The technician might or might not be right, I would personally wait till my anatomy scan and at least you will knw for once and for good. It will be more accurate. Good luck and I knw its hard to wait, been there. Take care mama

Yep! Happened to me.  Was an early scan by my doctor.  She said boy but she said she wasn't totally sure.  Anatomy scan said girl and was correct.
