Awesome ideas ladies! We have a washing machine but it's old, we got a new dryer for our wedding so I want the washing machine to match. I hadn't thought about financing it. We have been together forever (off and on since high school) so he should be able to come up with pictures for the collage idea (maybe Christmas though since anniversary is tomorrow). I really like just the quality time though too. We do have a truck so I think a picnic and looking at the stars is wonderful. We live in Texas (however its by the chemical plants but it's only about a 30 min drive to get away from them). And the homemade letter or poem would melt my heart but he is not a very verbal person (think duck dynasty redneck and that's my hubby... maybe not as extreme though...lol) So many ideas!! I love them all! Lol
Gosh my husband and i have been together for 5 years and i never know what to ask for lol, we usually just go out even if its mcdonalds, or rent a movie and just hang out together its nice to just be around eachother not thinking about anything except eachother, ooo another fun thing is to get in a truck, if you have one, and load that puppy up with pillows and blankets and go park somewhere to look at the stars or just take a blanket and go out n your yard and have a night together under the stars, thoes are my favorite nights, were away from electricity, and just talk to eachother about everything
I think the 1st anniversary is the paper anniversary, maybe he could write you a nice love letter or poem -it's from the heart and doesn't cost much and all. Then like someone else said, try a picnic lunch or something to spend a little time out together.
Sounds like me on my first anniversary. Ask for him to come up with some type of photo collage of some memories from your first year together. Even places like walgreens or walmart can print stuff in larger sizes. He can frame it or have it done on canvas. Super sentimental and great for house decor too! Once baby comes, it seems we take way less pix together but tons with the baby. Lol
Take you on a picnic or out to your favorite restaurant. See a movie. Go on walk somewhere. Sight see. Maybe there is a cheaper cabin to rent for the night to just have some alone time:) I would rather see and spend time with my husband then get a gift personally
Aw that's so sweet. Happy anniversary! Why not get a washing machine in a furniture store financed and just make payments on it. I'm dying for a washing machine too but sadly we live in apts so I can't have one.
