I  had to switch to Johnsons baby bar soap and that helped. It has lotion in it too. I use lotion with shea, coconut, or cocoa butter too or baby lotion. I think the stuff they put in other lotions to make it smell good was making the itching worse. And if the water is too hot when I shower that makes it worse.

Meh. Doctor said use cortizone cream and if it didn't help to see a dermatologist.

Not sure how far along you are but if you are mostly itchy on your palms of your hands and the soles of your feet it could be something else. This happened to me all of a sudden last night and I had to have bloodwork done today to check my liver and bile levels. Im 36 weeks tomorrow.

I feel your pain. I have had to stop shaving so much cause it makes it worse. I've scratched myself bloody at night. Sometimes when I can't stand it I take benadryl just to sleep through it. Ive switched to all no dye no perfume products. I have been only using soap every other day now (goat milk), cool baths or showers, and alternate between itch defense lotion and cocoa butter cream.  Drinking tons (tons!) Of water seems helpful, its worse if I drink less. Asking doc today what else I can do.

I went to the doctor because the itching became so bad and he sent me home and told me to rub cortisone cream on me...

I use Epizone E Salf in place of soap and bath gels and also use it as a lotion. It has helped me a lot, i use to bath 3 to 4 times a day.

Are you sure it's dry skin? Bc my husband is very sensitive to polyester (didn't know this before) and I am now as well so we have to buy new sheets as they were polyester cheap manmade crap. Everybody I would go b to bed and  like crazy well minute I took sheets off bed showered and put different cotton sheets on the bed wec were both fine! :-) guess they had been itching him for almost the whole year we'd had them and he thought it
was dry skin lol you have to be careful nc your skin  become much more sensitive during pregnancy I did with my first never went away and now I am even more than before! Charmin toilet paper makes me itch now too!

Some days lotion helps and some days it doesn't. I shower twice a day, in the AM and right before bed and use wash for dry skin then lather myself in cocoa butter. I use Dove body wash and it seems to help. I also shave my legs as often as I can because the dry skin plus hair growing back is like a double decker of hell! I have scratched so hard at times that I made myself bleed : (
