PREGNANT 7 YEARS AFTER TUBAL LIGATION

Hello I was wondering if anyone out there has ever gotten pregnant after a tubal ligation? I have had 5 children of my own and also have 3 step children all live with my husband and all all 15 down to 7. Last week I went to the doc for being sick and she decided to do a preg test she about fell over because it was pos. I couldnt believe it so that night I went out and bought a home test witch was pos as well. I went for a sonogram the next day and they didnt see anything they were worried about it being in my tube.. Thur they ordered a blood test and it was 0 the doc said I had a miscarriage. I am supposed to see a specialist and maybe have a HSG to see if tubes have reconnected somehow. I had my tubal done at 26 years old. I have read alot about people getting pregnant after tl done but I dont understand how that can happen the cut mine took a piece out and burnned them back so how could mine reconnect. I am scared of a eptopic and wondered if anyone has had a baby after this was done to them?

I had my tubes tied 8 years ago after my daughter was born bcuz her father forced me to. But anyways it's been 2 months since I've had my period and I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it said 2 lines ment pregnant well one line was really dark and the other really light you almost couldn't see it but it was there. I'm going to take another test tomorrow and see what it says bcuz I want another baby but I was under the impression that I had to get my tubes untied to get pregnant. Just worried it could be a tubal pregnancy

Hi JD once a baby is found in the uterus, it becomes a normal pregnancy with as much chance of success as any other, congrats!

My Wife had a TL in Jan. 2015! Last Night she went to E.R. for a Toothache and Possible UTI! They did a Pregnancy Test using Urine and Blood! It came back as Possitive (6 Weeks)! They did a Ultrasound to see if it was Tubal or Vaginal (It's Vaginal)! What are her Chances of Carrying Full Term and Chances of Healthy Mother and Baby? Please Help, We are Shocked and Worried! Thanks, J.D.

I had a tubal ligation (clips) may 2015 I found out late sept 2015 I'm expecting I'm now 22 weeks Prego .. I had no symptoms up until a few days after finding out  I was in my late first trimester actually a week being shy of my second trimester I never had a regular period and my last period was a few weeks before my procedure .. I actually went into the ER I had bad horrible abdominal pain I had previous problems with blood clotting in my uterus and cyst so I thought maybe it was happening they sent me to an ultrasound and sure enough a baby was on the screen with a string beating heart I was in shock I bout crapped my pants the doctors kept asking me if I was sure about my TL and assured them it wasn't that long ago and my scars were still fresh .. They looked as shocked as I was they said they've herd of getting Prego after the procedure but not as soon as I had conceived ( a month after my TL ) I followed up with my doc he was on disbelief also state I was extremely lucky baby was in my uterus and my chances for a tubal were high considering if had one in the past on the IUD he said in his 40 yrs of practice he's never had it happens to any of his patience or college after this one in going in for a cut and burn and my children's father is going in for a snip snip . We decided maybe if we both go under there won't be any more accidents
