Pack n play question

So we have a pack n.play that has a bassinet for our little guy to sleep in in our room for a few months before we move him to his crib. With my due date only 3 days away I'm worrying myself that he shouldn't sleep in it all the time. I also got a pack n play for my mom's house, she will ve watching him when I go back to work at 6 weeks and hers doesn't have the bassinet so I was freaking myself out thinking it's not safe for him to sleep in a pack n play all the time for the first few months. So my question has anyone or does any plan on using one? I didn't with my daughter. She had a bassinet.

I will be using one for my son to sleep on, when he's born. His crib is being occupied by my daughter  (19month old) . So, we will have him in our room for the first few months before moving him into his sisters room with her. I don't see a problem with it. It's not terribly comfy I can imagine but it is safe.

Its safe! I actually went to a class on preventing SIDS and they gave everyone who didn't have a crib a pack n play for their baby to sleep in. Just use the same safety rules - no loose blankets, no stuffed animals etc.

It's not the squishiest comfiest softest mattress... but it's what my son slept in for his first few months before moving into his crib. He continued to sleep in it on occasion when we were traveling/visiting until he was big enough to sleep in a bed without rails, at about two years old. Perfectly safe and comfortable.

I did it with my son. I will be doing it again with this one as well. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Thanks ladies! I'm overly paranoid this time around!Maybe because I know more now or the fact that I'm 7 years older this time. I was 21 with my daughter and now I'm 28.

I used a pack n play with my son the whole time lol he never slept in a crib. When he got too big for it he went to a toddler bed and now he is in a twin.

I did with my daughter. I dont see why it would be unsafe, its a flat surface, same as a crib.
