Left kidney of baby showing dilated

Hello! I'm a bit concerned with my baby's kidney. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and around 23 weeks they noticed my son's left kidney is a bit enlarged. I asked the ultrasound technician what is the size of his right kidney and she said 4.2 centimeters then I asked how big is the left kidney and it was 7.8 centimeters. So that freaked me out because it's almost double in size of the right kidney mean while they're calling it "slightly dilated" the whole time. I was not expecting such a difference in the measurement difference between the kidneys. I have had a recent ultrasound and the technician said his left kidney is measuring normal now because by 27 weeks his kidneys should be no bigger than 7cm and they were checking me out when I was 30 weeks and his kidney was 7.9cm so she said it was fine. However his right kidney is measuring 4.8cm. They're going to start checking his kidneys every week not because they're highly concerned but because I have high blood pressure but I'm happy it's going to be looked at every week. The ultrasound tech said this is very common in boy infants and if the kidney doesn't fix itself by time he is born then his pediatrician will just keep an eye on it. If worst comes to worst they perform a very common surgery on him before he turns two to fix the kidney or he will go on antibiotics as soon a he is born which should food the inflammation. My thing is I searched this all over the internet and have not found much information on it or people talking about it on boards. Has anyone gone through this before and how did everything turn out? In trying not to get nervous but this feeling I have about it is so unsettling.

My son's kidneys had that too at an ultrasound around 26 weeks.  One was 5.1 and the other a little less.  It had completely corrected itself at the 32 week ultrasound, and I hope you have the same experience. For what it's worth,  my midwife said ultrasound techs make a big deal out of every little thing because it's the most sued area of medicine and that in her 12 years of practicing, she's never seen anything come of pylectasis diagnosis.
