My midwife she said it would pass and im perfectly fine but I care about my body and my baby and I read some precautionst to watch out for when you have BV... I hope im not over reacting. Thanks in advance for the responses.

BV is super common.
I have the worlds like, most sensitive Vag ever. Sperm down there (which is hard when your trying to have a baby), drinking beer, too much sugar, etc. can set it off for me.
It's super embarrassing when you can smell yourself...
I'd be careful what they give you, and when - because I had it and the day I took all 4 pills, I lost my baby. Not to scare you, just to inform you. I was 14wks when they gave me the pills and 16wks when I found out he had no heartbeat anymore. and I read online that it's not recommended in 1st trimester and not recommended in ANY trimester in high doses..

Definitely get treatment! During my first trimester, I had that along with an uti and they treated it both times with a cream suppository. It can be dangerous if it's not treasured causing problems with your pregnancy. Get treated NOW!!!!!!!!!!

It depends what trimester your in. I have BV and I'm only now just 8 weeks. When I went to my DR he told me he could not give me anything until my second trimester and hopefully it will pass. Now from the 2nd trimester out they can give you the meds.
I know it's gross and uncomfortable but mine has lessened. I think mine comes from sex and the Ph of my DF semen and my VJ being very different.

Hi! Bv is a ph in balance in ur body u get it from using perfumed soaps creams etc also can v caused by pregnancy hormones.  U can buy a gel in little tubes that u use vaginally & u can buy this in a most pharmacys by the thrush creams. It just puts the ph balance back to where it shud b. Im sure its safe in pregnancy but do check with the pharmacist 1st! Hope that helps a bit!

I would get rid of the midwife! I agree that she doesn't know what she is doing. B.V. can be dangerous to your baby. You should be given medicine. My doc gave me medicine and mine went away fairly quickly.

They have treatment for it. Your Dr doesn't know what she's doing the longer you have an infection the more chance it can harm your unborn child, you aren't over reacting tell them you want it treated!!
