Light bleeding at 12 weeks

I am worried i could be miscarrying. I am 12 weeks and 1 day. I had some spotting 2 days ago and didnt really think much of it since it was only once and went away. I had an ultrasound that day and the baby had a strong heartbeat and the us tech said everything looked great. It was the ultrasound to check for abnormalities.  Then last night i was lightly bleeding again..this time with very light cramping. I called the on call doctor and she told me there is nothing they can do if i am miscarrying. Just to watch for heavy bleedings and when to come into the ER. I was thinking thats it?? They will not even check on the baby to see if things are okay? No exam to see if it could be something else? Nope...just wait and see. No bloodwork to check levels to see if things are still progressing? This makes me want to put myself on bed rest and only to get up to go to the bathroom.

What country are you in? When i was 11 weeks and 3days i had light spotting that stopped very quickly then turned brown. My midewife said to keep eye on it. I am in uk and she said they early pregnancy unit can only see me if red spotting carried on! I did get brown spotting again so went doctors and finally got an a appointment to see early pregnancy unit, i had to wait 3 days still! When they did scan baby was fine. I am now 21 weeks pregnant. Hope all goes well for you. Have you been seen yet or have you atill1got spotting

I had this happen to me at 6 weeks and I am now 9 weeks. They did an ultrasound which showed a subchorionic bleed. It has now since nearly absorbed and is too small to be measured. Go to emergency and ask to see the gynaecologist on call! Best of luck
