Scared of Wasting Doctor's Time.....

I think it is pretty messed up how alot of us go through...things while pregnant...and  we are afraid to approach a doctor...because we feel like we know what they will say...(what if something is really wrong)...  I hope everyone is ok...and hope nothing is severly wrong...when you think it is....Sorry....we get no Real Love.  :(

Midwives are better I wish I would have stayed with them. My doctors office put me with them by accident and I switched back to doctors.... I really wish I would stayed where I was... They take way more time but you don't wait near as long... If you have a seemingly healthy pregnancy I'd say try out the midwives... You might really like them... I know better now...

I totally understand.. About when you have to pay so much...for so little attention....but it is not right...that they make us feel....like being pregnant is not serious....(only the day you give birth) something has to change.  I would like to know more about midwives...and their treatment...im 36 weeks though....

I had a Dr with my first baby and felt the same way. I chose to go through a midwife the second time and had a much better experience.  I'm going with a midwife again this time too.

I hate feeling like my Dr is wasting MY time!! Other than my first appointment & my 3D ultrasound, I feel like most "appointments" could be handled over then phone & not cost me $300+ per appointment. We've established that my home scale has the same calibration as the one at the office. They've never had me pee in a cup or done any blood work after my first appointment. It was exciting to hear his heartbeat at my 2nd appointment. LITERALLY all they've done at every subsequent appointment is weight, blood pressure & Doppler. I wait for anywhere from 20 mins to 1 hour for that! I get that they want to monitor progress & make sure baby is healthy & we have no complications-but what do they honestly learn from those three things every 4 weeks?? My insurance doesn't cover much, and they know this, so thisbpregnancy is out of pocket. I'm okay with that, to an extent-but I feel like most of these appointments are pointless!

I feel ya.... I went in last weekend having conctractions. Well it was like five in the evening my contractions stop I was dilating but they Found I had a uti and treated it but the dr wouldn't come see me bc it was serious. Therefore I wouls have to stay all night. It was very inconvient to me that is was so early I  evening they fixed my problem but refused to come up there so I would have to stay all night. I ended up leaving. They want us to come in when we have something going on but the dr doesn't want to come look at you or talk to you. Its like we are an inconvience. I've gotten where now I will have to be in severe pain or my babu crowing to go to labor and delievry

I feel ya...I couldn't even get in for 1st appointment hardly...they are like well most miscarriages happen in first 8 weeks so we want to wait till after that to see you. Wouldn't they want to see you to help prevent miscarriages...I had a miscarriage last time and I still feel like they could have seen me for some encouraging words...it's not like I wasn't paying
