Your lungs have less room now due to the baby :) I'd assume it's due to that. But if it's bad nor worries you call your doctor.
I've had that with all 4 of my pregnancies. As your baby grows your uterus is taking up more room and the increase blood flow. I sometimes stand up and put my hands on my head to help open my diagram to take a deep breath.
I could be laying down and be breathing like I've just ran a marathon.
I have this all the time--- I work in a doctors office and find that when I am running short of breath it means my blood pressure is really low and my heart rate over compensates for it. If you can get near a blood pressure monitor you should check yours when you feel like this
Thanks guys. I have had a child before, but she is almost 11 and I don't remember feeling like this !! Will double check with mw next week :)
I've had a lot of shortness of breath too. Even though my iron and hemoglobin levels are normal. But I've increased my nutritional (not supplemental) iron intake and it has helped my shortness of breath. Walking also helps mobilize some of my edema. I'm monitoring my blood pressure closely to see if I develop pre-eclampsia.
