30 weeks, menstrual like cramps, lost mucus plug

Hello ladies, I am still having really bad menstrual like cramps. I lost my mucus plug today, no blood in it. My Dr appt is this Tuesday.  Could this be a sign of preterm labor? Anyone else experiencing this?

I'd go to the ER just to be on the safe side.

I had the same problem yesterday. I am 32 weeks 4 days. I went to l&d for cramps, back pain and pressure. I also lost my mucus plug. Turns out the cramps i was having were contractions that were every two minutes. Found out im already 1 cm and 30%effaced. I had to get the steroid shots to mature babys lungs. If i were you, i'd go get checked. You don't want to be in preterm labor and unable to have it stopped. And its too early for your baby to come.

You plug can regenerate itself. Unless you are bleeding I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes pieces fall out throughout pregnancy and it's not a problem.

Hi ladies, I ended up coming to L&D. Turns out they are real contractions, already got 2 shots with meds to stop the contractions,  and my first dose of steroids. 1 cm dilated. Admitted for 24 hrs, possible 48.
