TMI I know, but I have to ask!

I was just sitting on the couch and sneezed.  I thought great, I peed my pants again!  But when I went to change it was all moucus, and when I wiped even more mucous. How much mucous do you have to lose before your plug is completely out?

I'm 40 weeks today.  Been losing my plug for a while now,  but when I sneezed it was a lot at once and I was just curious to know of maybe that was the rest of it?

Amniotic fluid is more like water.. just liquid not thick at all.. you know I have so much discharge. When I sneeze when I get up in morning I can feel it trickling down.. are you sure it's not discharge.. I've never noticed my mucus plug..

How far along are you? If you noticed pink or red tinge, you need to let your Dr know! Mucous plug is like snot from your nose (gross, sorry), it's thicker than normal vaginal discharge.  Amniotic fluid doesn't have a smell. But leaking fluid you also need to let your Dr know...hope that helps

A plug is what is out side of the uterus,  amniotic fluid is inside,  it's what the baby lives in,  helps keeps it alive.

Your plug can actually "grow" back.

It varies for each person. Some don't even notice it. Whereas others have it take a few days for it all to be "released."
