I've been concerned about this also, I have one and never heard of it before, I got pregnant via invitro and thought it was due to that. With mine I had huge amounts of bleeding, passing clots the size of my hands, they say baby is fine, but at my last ultrasound around 9 weeks they can see a sac of blood the size of the baby and already passed that much blood, only having spotting now and no sex is my only orders. Can't wait to see my next ultrasound to see if everything is absorbed otherwise afraid to pass that much blood again. Nice to have others post there experience to compare too!
Just got back from the anatomy ultrasound. She said the hemmorage resolved itself and my little boy is looking very healthy. Thanks for the help, ladies.
Hi I had one that was detected at 8 weeks. Dr placed me on bed rest. Thank god I already passed it. Try to relax and not life heavy objects. If it is small you can have a healthy pregnancy. You can avoid it by growing by abstaining from too much physical activity. Gluck nd keep us posted
I had one early on this pregnancy and it resolved itself by the next ultrasound. I was talking to a friend about it and she told me she had one her entire pregnancy with her daughter who is now 2. She said they just monitored it. I'm sure all will fine. :)
p.s. don't stress. it seriously has probably already taken care of itself! ((:
my son will be 10 months old this Thursday, and I had a subchorionic hemorrhage with him.. I found out in the ER at 9w3d after filling a panty liner with dark brown/red blood.
I bled that one time & one other time exactly a week later, then I never saw anything else.
it either bleeds out, or your body will absorb it. I was told to just put my feet up, no sex, and no heavy lifting until I was told otherwise.
I'm now 9w1d & I hope I don't have to worry with it again, BUT I feel better knowing that it truly is extremely common & you can definitely manage it.
congrats & good luck!! ((:
Thank you. That actually helped a lot. The ultrasound tech before said to me that it looked "dry" I guess that's what she meant.
They also put me on pelvic rest and i cant lift anything. :)
I have a subchorionic hemorrhage that they found at 18 weeks. I only had spotting for like a week and they sent me to a specialist at a hospital also. The perinatal doctor just does ultrasounds to monitor it. now at 23 weeks they say its about one inch and looks "old" like its done bleeding or something. But they say it usually goes away on its own and both told me not to worry and they dont seem concerned but the baby is healthy and all and i still go back to specialist at 29 weeks to follow up. :)
