It's a learning process. This is my second pregnancy and I'm still learning how to be a good/great mom eberyday.
Take 1 day at a time. Becoming a mommy is the best thing ever but has its challenging times. Just remember that your new adventure into motherhood is the same as your baby's adventure into life. The day your baby is born it's like you are as well born but born into a mom. You will learn new things every day just like your baby does and as your baby grows you as well will grow as a mom. Cherish every moment because it goes fast. You will have frustrating days but remember every day is a new day and yesterday is in the past. Remember that your baby will love you no matter what and even if you mess up at times your baby will still love you because no one on the entire earth could be a better mom to your baby than you.
My best advice is never judge your pregnancy by somebody else's... eg size of your bump, first kicks, sickness, first appointments etc cause every pregnancy is different and you will only upset yourself of you think you are different from someone else. ♥
hope that made sense lol
The biggest piece of advice I can pass along is to enjoy your pregnancy...you'll have challenging moments but this time is so special. Also, something that really helped me my first pregnancy is to remember that you're not the first to go n thru pregnancy or labor. Its happened for thousands of years & millions of women. Trust your body, stay positive, and enjoy!
I purchased a couple of books to walk me through my pregnancy. Im a ftm and dont have family here. What to expect when you are expecting, they made a movie out of it too. Baby 101. A first time mom's guide through maternity. Im very pleased with those. Then found the chicken soup for the pregnant soul. Love it.
What kind of tips would you like to know?? One suggestion I would make would be to educate yourself on everything. This site is great for experiences and added info but so many people put their own advice instead of facts into suggestions, so I would get tons of reading materials. The best book I have read is The Pregnant Body Book. It has facts and science, no ones
Personal opinions or religious beliefs. The info is amazing and so are the pictures. It goes from conception to birth and also talks about possible genetic and developmental defects and well as defects in both parents. It's great!
