membrane stripping
Anyone else get this done before? I had it done today and hoping it kickstarts labor. If little man isn't out by next friday my doctor is inducing! :-)
It doesn't seem to be giving me any contractions anymore... I was hoping it would because I heard pitocin makes contractions unbearable...
When i had it done with my first i went into labour the next day. I was already 4 cm dialated soit only took the one time.
If it gets any worse I will go to the dr... I swear it didn't hurt while the procedure was taking place, but now it's horrible.
If they're getting quite painful you could call your labour ward for advice, my midwife suggested two paracetamol and a hot bath and if that didn't work, to call in x
I had one today and my midwife said I could bleed after she had done it which I did 5 hours on now! but no cramps just feels like someone has kicked me in the stomach! Im only 1cm so im not getting my hopes up and cramps are one of the side affects I was told but good luck!

Right now it feels like really bad premenstrual cramps...
I had 4 between 39&6 and 41&5. They aren't 100% to work, my midwife said its about an 80% chance for them so don't be disheartened if you need another x
I had it done with my first and gave birth that same night but I think it depends on how thin your cervix is
