The worst luck (rant)

I'm 37 weeks pregnant today and went to l&d with pains..they were too sporadic..however her heart rate kept dropping so they monitored it for an hr and then told me to go home n stay off my back and right side completely. They didn't check for dialation or do an ultrasound...I swear I'm not going back there unless I'm on the floor screaming in pain...rant over.

Shouldn't worry about the whole turning on your back while sleeping. .. if your on your back and if it's too uncomfortable or hurts than you will wake up and can get into a better position

Well at least they checked you for dialation. Plus you'd think the heart rate thing should be more of a concern. I'm so worried about turning on my back in my sleep that I can't get any rest! You're right though...they ought to be more willing to help us because who knows what the issue could be.

I'm in the same boat you are... I had no sleep in 48 hours due to back and lower abdominal pain ... since I'm not dilating they just gave me Tylenol and sent me home... this morning I was still in pain and the doctor said that they can't do anything about my pain except to take Tylenol. .. what good are doctors if they don't try to help you out with pain
