UK dilation checks?

Hiya, I've seen quite a few posts of women getting checked and told they are dilated towards the end of the pregnancy, is this the case for UK mum's? My midwife hasn't mentioned it as being something to expect. I'm 38 weeks on Monday x

I didnt have it with my first pregnancy. I think they do if you pass your due date, you start having weekly midwife appointments and they check then and if you get as far as needing a sweep
