Anyone tried a belly girdle during pregnancy? Or have suggestions?

I just got back from my 28 weeks follow up today, i have tingly needle sensation running up and down my left thigh. my OB didnt see any fibroids that mayve caused the pain and said most of it could be nerve related issues. she suggested that i get a belly girdle to help lift the belly up and off my uterus. i may just try that.

I see. I end up ordering one from Amazon. The belly girdle finally arrived today. I actually love how the girdle help keep my posture in check but it doesnt help with the pinched nerved on my left thigh. Did I wear it wrong?

Thanks everyone for your input. I just ordered one maternity support belt online and I can't wait to try it out. I'll try to wear it several ways until I find the optimal comfort.

I got on e at 16 weeks. It was great until a couple weeks ago. It became too painful to wear. I'm 26 weeks now. Although I do have a fibroid that is pretty large causing issues. Let your doctor prescribe it so your insurance will cover it. That way you don't have to go buy one yourself. And if it works, great. If it doesnt, at least you didn't have to pay for it.

I recommend trying that.  I get SUPER uncomfortable and am pregnant w/ #8, and all of these pregnancies have really done a number on me internally.  So get one and maybe consider getting one that will be good to wear after you have the baby too.  They have them that can be worn both during pregnancy and also post baby too.  Plus, if you plan on having more kids in the future, you can use it again later on.  Feel better!!
