5 weeks 4 days pregnant with twins but only one heartbeat

Ok so my doctor says I'm pregnant with twins but have one heartbeat I'm only 5 weeks he said it's possible that one baby can be blocking the other one or it could be that one is growing faster than the other one anybody else experience anything like this

Many don't see a fetal heartbeat until 6 weeks, so try to be patient. It might just be too early.

Your twins could be slightly different ages if they are fraternal twins.  

I agree with the others - it just may be too early for the one to have a beating heart.

Many congrats @Missmorton87! How is your doctor able to know you're expecting twins at 5wks? I'd assume nothing at this stage and just enjoy the pregnancy until you go for an early scan at 7-8wks, or wait for a proper scan at 12wks. Please don't overwork or stress over nothing, you'll be fine. Sending you and your pregnancy lots of love and prayers x

I am a twin and my mom only heard one heard beat her entire pregnancy bc mine and my brothers hearts were beating at the same exact time

I'm currently 27 weeks with twins . found out at5 weeks where there was two sacs one with a fetal pole and yolk with heartbeat and the other was empty.. Turns out it was just to early . few weeks later I was able to see both babies with heartbeats !! I was scared , but tried not to worry and eeverything was okay . now I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my two princesses . good luck on this long journey ahead of you iIwish you nnothing but the best . hope I helped calm your nerves . if you have any questions thru this Ican try my bbest to help !
