When to have a babyshower??

This baby is my 2nd. However, I didn't have a baby shower with my first.
Someone is throwing me one, but they've already asked me twice when I want
it to be. And I have no clue! When am I supposed to? Is there a "best time"
to have one? Is it too soon? I'm thinking within the next month or 2. I'm a week from 7 months now..

Yep I totally agree. I'm due January 24th and I'm having my shower on November 17th. I don't know if you all do Black Friday shopping but I'm definitely trying to have my shower before people go broke on that day and the holidays right after. Plus it should give enough time to get whatever else you need and wash and organize everything before baby arrives.

Thank you for all the suggestions! This has helped me a lot! I was thinking November would be ideal since I'm due early January. I've got to have enough time to get the money together for the things I still need after the shower. And I agree about the whole everyone being broke after Xmas LOL

I'm 28 weeks and had mine Sunday. The weather tends to get ugly out my way and people don't like to travel in it so I wanted to do it before it got too cold, plus the holidays are coming up. Also, the later in the pregnancy the more uncomfortable you tend to feel so you don't want to be unhappy or in pain at your shower and you want to have time to get the things you didn't get at the shower. I say sooner than later, 7 months is good, definitely no later than 8 it's always a possibility you could go into labor early.

I've had two. One planned by a friend and one by my MIL. both were very late in my pregnancies. If I had of had a choice i would have rather had them much sooner so I would have been able to plan for what I needed to buy myself.

I'm doing mine at 29 weeks on Dec. 14 because I'm due in March and most of my family and friends told me to do it before Christmas because the majority are going out of town and will be broke in Jan. Hahaha that's what they said. I'm also moving and the end of Dec., so I don't want more stress.

I'll be 30 weeks at my family one and 31 weeks at my friend one. I'm due January and want to avoid holiday stuff, so Nov 2,&9 are when I'm doing mine.

I'm only 13 weeks now but having mine super early, anywhere from mid Dec to mid Jan, only because I am moving out of state at the end of Jan.

I'm due Jan 8th but with the holiday season coming up and everything my sister decided to throw mine on Nov 2nd. I'll be 30 weeks at my shower :)

I was due with my last and this one at the same time :O. My last I had my shower at the end of October and this one will be the end of November. I would say don't wait too much longer so you will have time to wash everything and pick up the things you need that you didn't get at your shower.

I had mine in September because people would be too busy in Oct or Nov

Hi! I just had mine and Im 37 weeks :) I would say at about 7 1/2- 8months is ideal. Congrats and good luck!
