When does the milk come in?

When did the milk come in for some of you ladies? I'm almost 37 weeks and um no milk. My beasts grew 3 cup sizes and they are super sensitive, I get sharp pains and they subside, but no milk yet. Just wondering.

Make sure to drink plenty of water after birth as this will help with the production of milk.

Breast milk does not come in until after birth, any where between 2-6 days after giving birth. Baby's first "milk" is called colostrum, it can be clear, off white, orange or yellow in color. It's very nutrient rich and one of the best things for baby. That's what your body will make while you are still pregnant and in the first couple days after birth. The more you nurse after birth the faster your milk will come in but usually takes a minimum of 2 days before coming in. Hope this helps!

My first one it came in the night after I delivered. But as soon as he popped out I started trying to get him to latch on. I think that's important to do asap. Dont let them give your baby a passy or anything until you have tried to get the baby to latch on... I think it helps a lot.. good luck

I'm a FTM and my Dr said to be on the safe side, buy some breastfeeding pads. but I see no signs of milk coming in, I want to breastfeed, hopefully it comes in after the baby is delivered.  thank you ladies.
