2d vs 4d

I know it costs extra but can anyone who's done it give me a price range of what it cost for you? My insurance will pay up to what the regular costs but if I want 4d I have to cover the difference.

Well, I can only go to my assigned ob for this bc I have military insurance, tricare. They only aprrove of a few docs in one area and once you're assigned that's pretty much it. If I go to anyone else I'll have to pay it all out of pocket.

Idk about the 4d US but here where I live I'm close to a US school and they do free 3d US cause they need the experience. I am due May 8 and I have my 3d US scheduled for March 3 and I am sooooo excited. I would look into that.

I found a great place doing a special during lunch hours on business days.  For $130 I get to go now (21 weeks) for a 40 min session of about 70% 2d/3d and 30% 4d. Comes with CD disc of 50 pics and 10 print outs there.  Then I get to go back again whenever I want (gonna do 31 weeks) for another 40 min session that is 30% 2d and 70% 3d/4d and this one will come with CD disc of real time of whole session plus the disc of pics plus print outs again. All for $130.  Definity shop around. In this hard times many places are outdoing each other for business!! To our benefit!

Oh cool. I'm near Louisville,  Ky, so I'm not too far from you. Nashville and Louisville are usually pretty similar in pricings.

Ive done 4d, 3 times at a special clinic . it costs $75 for before 20 weeks, $100 for weeks after that. Im in Nashville tn. Well worth it. You can see babies face very clearly. My insurance doesn't cover it at all. My doctor also does it for free during the 20 week scan but I liked to have it done at 16weeks or so to see the gender.
