ameda purely yours

So after 2 months of dealing with my lousy insurance company I finally got a breast pump.  They gave me the ameda dual electric pump. And... I hate it. It doesnt give enough suction? Idk but I have a better, easier and shorter time using the medela manual pump the hospital gave me.

Do any of you use the ameda? Am I doing something wrong? Im about ready to give up trying to breastfeed between having issues getting Rj to latch right and this pumping stuff not working out.

I had a hard time getting my son to latch too and the hospital gave me these nipple shields that really helped. Now in my situation my son was born tongue tied ( u can Google for more info) so his difficulty latching was not a result of my nips being inverted or anything like that which is usually why women use nipple shields but in any case they really helped him get a deeper latch and just made it easier for me especially being a ftm and first time breastfeeder. They're worth a try if your real difficulty is bubs latch. Hope this helps and best wishes!
