angry and scared. any advice?

So I went for my 37 week appointment Wednesday and found out that all the midwives have left the practice I've been going to.  I was given no warning and saw a  nurse practitioner who was very nice buy who doesn't deliver babies. She didn't know the procedure for when I go to the hospital and deliver. She said they have 1 new midwife, but she's never delivered a baby on her own and may be supervised. I was in shock and I haven't slept since. I know that most practices won't take a new patient this late in the pregnancy. I feel like it's just going to be whatever random doctor is on call at the hospital now. So I called the office today to try to get more info and there was no one there , but the np again which makes me even more worried about when I go into labor. Personally, I don't want a doctor delivering me who I have no history or trust with. And I absolutely do not want a man to deliver me. As it is when I had my first baby I wasn't comfortable with having anybody extra in the room and no men but my husband. I'm just so scared of what to expect. I keep crying and I could really use any advice or stories where it worked out for others.

Try calling other practices even if you have to drive a little further i would much rather have a piece of mind. Good luck

Maybe call other practices, explain your situation and see if they will take you as a patient. Also maybe ask your current practice where the midwives you've been seeing went to. Idk if they'll tell you but it's worth a shot

Can you call other doctors/midwife practices, explain your situation? Maybe they'll make an exception.

You can always go to any hospital once your ready to deliver... By law they can't refuse you... I would make sure they take your insurance before going tho... Good luck momma hope everything works out for you
