gd specialist first office visit questions and rant

So I finally get my appt with the gd specialist and its an hour away so that already is horrible enough. Been waiting in the lobby for two hours!!! My body and back is killing me and I'm already beyond frustrated. Now I asked how much more I have to wait and they say I'm only here for ultrasound. Really? I'm only here for that? Can someone explain please why or what's gonna happen? I really just want to walk the f out!!!

Relax and take the extra ultrasound then complain to the doctor and see why that's all that's happening and when your actually seeing a doctor to figure things out. I'd be pissy as heck

I also go to a specialist for gd. All they do is ultrasounds. They check your list of blood sugars (they should have you monitoring at home 4x a day) do an ultrasound to check baby's growth and that's it.

I couldn't do it! I couldn't wait! 3 hours is too long for a pregnant woman to be waiting in the waiting room. I kept seeing other patients coming and going and as is when I got there I already had severe back and leg pain from the drive. I got a horrible anxiety attack and almost bursted out crying out of anger and pain. I stormed out of there and the drive home was hell.  I got so mad I started cramping so trying to relax now. Thanks ladies.
