Feeling down...

Well, my hubby works full time as a mechanic. The problem is he hasn't been paid in over a month but still goes to work faithfully. We were supposed to start shopping for our daughter due 2/13/15 but he doesn't have the money. My sister in law wants to give me a shower  but he got upset and told her not too~ I really need him to understand that we can use the help until his boss can pay him. I am so worried that I won't be ready when I have her....

Good luck!  My husband was ok with the shower after we talked about it. He just wanted to provide for his family, which I love him for, but the shower can be such a fun way to celebrate for family and friends that wants to be involved but aren't sure how to with out being in your business too much.  Hope it goes well for you!

@adanae11 it definitely does... I plan on talking to him when he gets in tonight. He wanted another chance to let his boss pay him...

My husband is a mechanic as well and when my first was born we had a very similar situation.  He didn't want the shower because he felt like it was asking to charity but I just talked to him about it and told him it was to celebrate the baby and let family and friends celebrate too. Things I was worried about not having before the baby was born, alot of them I ended up not even really needing when he came. What one mom swears you need sometimes doesn't even work for your baby. So when we had income again I got what I actually wanted for the baby. But my husband did end up quiting the place that couldn't pay him a week after the baby was born!  It was so stressful but we made it through it! Hope this helps... :)
