attention please

Hello Ladies!  I wanted to know if any of you immediately started  feeling contractions after your water broke?

Last night. I woke up to a wet underwear and i got up more stuff came out. I put on a pad. It got wet, I then took a shower dried myself and put on an underwear nothing was coming out so I went to sleep, and i woke up with all this odorless wetness again! I called my midwife she told me to monitor how often I change it and to keep an eye on fetal movement. so can it be possible it's my water? But wouldn't a huge gush or pop happen, or even feel contractions.

Yes! It was my water :) I still don't have contractions or at least I can't feel them. Baby is being really lazy and not moving much. They sent me home so I can labor and get ready there.  Now I'm on my way back they'll probably induce if there is no progress. I'm terrified/excited/nervous.. :0

How is baby? Moving around ever so often or being still/lazy?

With my first my water broke then contractions started just over two hours later, but I had two proper full gushes so perhaps just your hind waters went maybe. With a friend, her contractions didn't start til almost 24hrs after her waters broke. Good luck anyway, sounds like you'll be meeting your little one soon :)

All the best! This happened to me, they called it the 'hind waters' and said bub had moved down so blocked the normal gushing! My contractions didn't start so ended up being induced with oxytocin. All good tho! Good luck...baby soon!

This is what happened to me. . My water broke but didn't get consistent contractions.. Went to Hospital and had to be induced but the induction wasn't successful so had to get a c section.  Hope everything goes well for you!!

I think if labor doesn't start within 24 hours then go in. She should check you out regardless just in case. Maybe wait a little longer and voice you want checked to ease ur mind.

With my first, I was having contractions before my water broke. Then they got much worse.

But my midwife and i are both worried about the inconsistency. That's why she told me to wait it out and see if more comes out. She's afraid it's urine. But I'm afraid for the baby, because this fluid has been coming since last night.  I am 38 weeks and 6 days by the way!  Also thanks for your response :)

I didn't start having contractions until about eight hours after my water broke and that was only after I was given pitocin in order to kick start the contractions

From what I know water breaking can be gradual. Once it has broken you are exposed to infection so you should check with your healthcare provider to see how long to wait for contractions before you go in to hospital. I've read it can be quite a while before contractions start...so ask your midwife.
