Thanks guys because my first son was 61bs and i dont think i had any newborns so this time around i wanted to be safe so im gunna pack a newborn outfit for the hospital and a 3 month outfit just incase... I dont know how much the baby weighs right now
My daughter was born at 7lbs 6oz and then lost over a pound due to trouble breastfeeding, so she was in newborn clothes until she was three months old. We had to go out and buy more newborn clothes because I had about the same amount you do now.
Both my son's worm preemie at first because they swam in the newborn. First son 7lbs 10oz second son 7lbs 1oz. I just had a couple outfits in preemie tho just so they had something that fit. And newborn they lasted about a month. It differs between baby to baby. I got 2 preemie for this lil girl and 7or8 newborn. We go out and to church so I like to have a few options.
0-3 is prob best bet unless your baby is very small like a premie then newborn is good they grow very quickly into things so 0-3 is best bet...
Buy the essentials for newborns knowing at most baby will use them for 3 weeks. My baby was born 9 lbs 6 oz and didn't fit into some newborn clothes but some of the 3 month clothes were too big. Also there are a lot of diaper accidents that happen at this age so you want to have more than a couple of each thing to buy you time to wash clothes.
I think that by buying maybe 3 packages of onesis in newborn size, that you should get by just fine. During this time the only place you'll take the baby is for the newborn doctors visit.
My daughter was 8lb9oz at birth and only fit in newborn size for 3 weels. Not really worth spending the money on it.
I think it depends on how big ur baby is some newborns are too big for newborn clothes so if ur baby is on the bigger side I wouldn't waste the money on so many newborn clothes they will grow out of maybe b4 they even get to wear them
