anyone ever scheduled for c section? ?

I'm nervous scared I'm scheduled got a c section what should I expect? Do they put me to sleep I'm i awake ? How long does it take? Will I be able to see my baby please let me know with the mothers who experienced this

I'm having my 2nd scheduled c section on the 12th, everything kjens12 said is pretty much it. It's over fairly quick considering everything that's happening. You'll go into recovery for a little while after the surgery before u go back to your room with baby though

Yep, good luck! My sister had 1 emergency and 3 scheduled c-sections. I had an emergency with my son and will be having a scheduled in June.

Also, it was about 20 minutes start to finish

They'll do a spinal block to numb you, but you'll be awake. You'll feel pressure, tugging, and pulling but no pain. The room will be FREEZING though. My hospital brings your baby by your face for a minute then take them to clean them up and when you're all done and back in your room they'll probably bring the baby to you. At least that was my experience.
