I had a miscarriage this year in Feb. It took a whole month for the baby number to "drop out" the only thing I experienced was bleeding/ spotting for the entire month! Mine passed Feb 27 ( I found out I was 5weks on Jan.25) and after the baby passed that's when I got the cramping.....mine wasn't at all as bad as labor pains though really bad menstrual cramps!!
I had contractions at 26weeks... did not know it was contractions until I arrived at the hosp, when thy said I was fully dilated and only 26weeks... I gave birth to a 700grams baby, the called it a missed carriage because she only made it 3days... had no cramps at all just back pain... 30weeks now and this time baby is over wight so im blessed and verry exited... so in a way I cant really answer you question but though maby sharing will help... strongs, will be thinking of u
I was told when I miscarried at 20 weeks that I felt a big percentage of what labor feels like I'm planning on doing a all natural birth I'm 10 weeks 2 days and I've already made my mind up about it
When I had my miscarriages, three of them, I experienced cramping that was slightly worse than period cramps, but no where near the intensity of labor contractions.
My miscarriage was nothing compared to labor with my full term baby.
I've had 2 early miscarriages and labored to pushing phase with a baby.
Everyone is different, but I would characterize the miscarriage cramps as "cramps", or "mild contractions". If those seemed very painful for you, it sounds like you might want to consider an epidural again.
The contractions required to deliver a full term baby are significantly stronger.
