We had finally agreed on a name! Raylan Ross. And I've noticed everyone around us have names so similar. They all rhyme. I know of a Braelyn, Jaylan and taelen. Their are.more. they will all be going to the ssame school as well so as they call roll the whole class list will Rhyme. What do you think? Should I mention this to my fiance and fight over names all over? Or am I being rediculious?

I know what you mean. My sons name is Ryland and someone I know named her son Rylan... I was so mad. My son is surrounded by Rylies and Riders...its nuts.

That whole "a-in" sound is really popular. Aiden.jaelyn,Braylon.  

My son was almost named Braylon then 2 girls I know named their sons that. So I decided to stay away from that sound scheme as it was too common.

If you think you guys can handle it... Try and figure out couple of "back up" names. Naming a person is tough.  I dont think you're being ridiculous at all!

Just don't go with anything that rhymes with "maiden."  My son's class has a Jaden, a Caden, and a Braden.

I fell in love with the name Tate before i finally fell pregnant but my next door neighbour who is 10 wks ahead has found out she is having a boy and is going to name him Nate. For me there is no way i could have my sons name rhyming with hers as they will be in the same class.
