I'm doing a Harry Potter themed nursery :0) for my baby boy Ofcourse. I'm not a huge fan of blue or traditional boy themes they have.
I picked an owl theme & went from there i'm having a boy & did not want blue so i went to walmart & found a crib set that is light green, brown w/ lil light blue & white so i'm using thoughs colors since my husband & i are a lil low on cash what we did is refurnish a dresser we had he sand it painted it white then went to home dpot got a lil $3 jar of sample paint light green & paint the boarder it came out nice so far thats all we have but i liked (acarlough) idea im going to try that so my boys can be apart of helping decoraitong there lil brothers room to make it more special. Sorry for any miss spelling i've seen lots of people get criticized in this forum for bad gramer & spelling but i have a learning disability.
I'm doing a hot hair balloon theme. Check out pinterest for ideas :-)
Go on pinters they have alot of ideas for baby rooms and affordable ideas as well I hope this helps
I personalized my sons room with stuff from his brother and sister. We went to the fabric store and picked a fabric we loved and designed the room off of that. We chose i light green paint to match the blue and green in the fabric and found bedding at Target. Once we had all that settles we stretched the fabric over a frame then made 2 more fabric squares like that (2 with the fabric we designed around 1 with a coordinating fabric). We had the kids paint canvas amd hung the pictures over the panels we created. We then found animal alphabet flash cards and hung them on a line, like a clothes line, across the wall. I wish i could show a picture it turned out incredible and because we designed it all and did all the carpentry it was so cheap.
