baby shower opinion!

I wanted to give a baby shower invitation to 3 of my old coworkers we were never friends and I haven't worked there for 2 years now but I still say hi to them and talk to them occasionally although we don't hang out. Would it be too weird to give them an invite?  Lol I thought it was a good idea at first now I don't want them to think it's awkward

I invited one of my coworkers I use to work with and we don't talk all the time and we never hang out but she has always been so nice. I would say do it if you want they don't have to go but since you are asking about it means you kind of want them there and I would go a head and do it.

It's not so much that I want gifts I just don't have a lot of female friends to be honest and don't want a tiny baby shower because my family and his family don't live here

I say no. Just because you said we were never friends. I just feel it should be friends and people you are close to since it is a very happy and personal expierence.
