feeling down about baby registry today

I am going to register for my baby shower today. I wanted to wait a little while longer but everyone is insisting that I get it done before everyone really starts Christmas shopping so ok I agreed. It was supposed to me my mom my best friend my cousin and since my mother in law is in town she was going to come to.  Everyone has backed out on me expect my mom.  No one else wants to go  these people mean the most to me and made it a big deal that I do this and make a time and date everyone could go and now they all canceled. Just makes me sad but at least I have my mom.

Hi. OK...I had my baby shower last weekend and my sister was the only one who came with me to register and honestly...that's all I needed. If there are 5 of you picking and choosing items it becomes
Overwhelming with all the opinions and inputs of different ideas.Trust me...its better just being you and your mom. The sales people in the store will have good advice too. And that's all you'll need.

To be honest I did almost my whole registry by myself and online. Every time I'd go to the store I'd ask for a scan gun just in case I saw anything else I liked and wanted to add but for the most part it was done from the comfort of my couch lol.

I think it's better that it will be just you and your mom.    More intimate,  a nice time to share this together with her,  and let her guide you with ideas of what you really need.

I wouldn't imagine the others were looking forward to going with a crowd to do a baby registry - if you're not mom or grandma it's really not very interesting.

Same thing happened to me twice. Forget them and go and have fun!!! I took my eight year old son with me, we had a blast!!

Sorry to hear everyone has backed out on you. I would think having all of those people would be a mess anyways. I think the most important one is your mom. You definitely need someone to help you figure out what you need as well as keep you company while you're doing it. I think you have the most important and obviously dedicated person you could invite going with you. It's not about who is there but who will be there for you always. Enjoy yourself and have a great time together.

Don't allow anyone take the fun out of you doing your registry. To be honest you don't need anyone to go with you. I went with my bf and he was annoying me the whole time. Enjoy today and congrats. Don't sweat it hun
