With my first child the tech told me i was having a girl at 16weeks. I did deliver a girl. With this one i still dont know yet im just 12weeks wasnt given a u/s yet. Goodluck to u.
I think is too early i seen videos of every step of thw development and at 14 weeks is when their parts form, bwfore 14 weeks tbeir parts looks the same
With my first child I was told it was DEFINITELY a boy at 12 weeks. At my next ultrasound at 22 weeks I was told i wss having a girl. I now have a 3 year old daughter who i love very much. I would just buy neutral colors until they're born.
I was told I was having a boy at 13 week ultrasound 100% accurate with the 3D ultrasound I had not a gender ultrasound just to check if every thing was ok!! With my 2nd they told me at 16 weeks 100% accurate and was a girl :)
Sorry to say but my sister who is also blessed to having a lil one found out the gender of her boy at 14 weeks, the sono was very clear of his genital area.....
I was able to get the gender reveal at my 11 week ultrasound. And was confirmed at 14 and 18 weeks. I knew it was a boy. And asked if the tech wad able to see. And she said yes and I said i knew what it was but I wanted to see if my "maternal instincts" were correct.
Dead on, clear as day. All boy.
You would get a more accurate reading waiting. For some their babys genitals can be swollen confusing a boy for a girl or vice versa. Honestly i dont trust a US tech to tell me matter of fact that its a girl/boy at 11 weeks. But anyway just saying theres more room for mistakes that early. Idc if you mamas cousin got their gender right at 14 weeks its a 50/50 chance anyway. Lol at least get a confirmation at your 20 week anatony scan!
baby is fully developed at 12 weeks externally obviously stl have a lot to do internally with organs ect. But at 12 weeks gender is developed just very difficult to see for certainty. You can find out as early as 14 weeks usually before that not so much. Ive impatiently waited till my anatomy scan with both babies now to find out sex so I found out about 20 weeks with first and 19+3 with this one.
Not to argue or anything, but many people find out gender at 13-15 weeks. This idea that you have to wait longer is more of a common occurrence with Drs than actual ability. My Dr checked for gender at my 15 week appt and even I could easily tell it was a girl. If baby is in a good position, try!
It had nothing to do with them sucking. The genitals aren't developed at that age, no matter who the tech is. I just had my ultrasound and both the tech And doctor stated you can not tell before 16 weeks.
The ultrasound techs guarantee 100% accuracy at 14 weeks here, your ultrasound techs must suck (no offense).
I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks...you couldn't tell. But, my little peanut was moving his or her arms and legs like crazy and you could see it. It was amazing. :-)
No you can't tell. Up until about 16 (and even that can be a little early) the genitals aren't defined yet. Your sonographer could guess but that's about all it would be. If they tell you otherwise they are full of it!
12 1/2 weeks not 12/12 lol
You might be able to find out at about 13weeks depending upon how well your doctor's technology works..... I was told my lil ones is a boy at 12 /12 weeks..... but just to make fully sure I want to wait till im further along right now im 14 wks 3 days
At 11 weeks its a lil early to find out if ur gonna have a boy or girl sometimes they tell u to wait until ur 17 or 18 weeks
