you CANNOT tell before hand.  I leaked colostrum but wasn't able to nurse alone.  I can't produce enough on my own.  Plus you don't know when your milk actually will come in as that won't happen until you actually have the baby.  all you can do is hope for the best for your baby

You can't tell.  But the percent is very low and usually runs in the family.  If your mom did I wouldn't worry about it.  It's hard work so ask for help but gig should be fine.

Only a small percentage of women are unable to breastfeed. It does take time for many babies to learn to properly latch and eat well, so don't get discouraged if it doesn't go smoothly. It takes 3-5 days usually for your milk to come in, so don't stress about that either. If you're not producing enough milk there are ways to help that along as well. My son is a month old today and we are still working on his latching issues. It's stressful, but it gets easier and when he gets it finally it will be worth it. Last night was the first time we exclusively breast fed opposed to bottle feeding pumped milk and it was the easiest night we have had. He went back to sleep right after being burped which doesn't usually happen.

I haven't leaked with either of my babies think after my milk.actually came in. But but was able to squezze a tiny bit of colostrum out during pregnancy. But I wouldn't worry dear its very very rare to not get milk and be able to :-) stress however can play a huge role in production I did have that problem with my first but used fenu greek and mothers milk tea and that helped. I was normal ftm stressed and find breastfeeding stressful lol but I plan to do it again! :-)
