brown spotting

Hey guys. Just wondering if any of you have ever had brown/red spotting early in pregnancy and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? I had brown spotting in February which lead to a miscarriage. I am currently 7 weeks 4 days and am having the same type of spotting. Of course I am suspecting the worst... But I am hoping there are some good stories out there. I had an ultrasound a week ago and had an amazing heart beat of 167. I called my midwife multiple times today abbd they said basically there's nothing they can do. :( getting really depressed.

I had the same thing happen to me at 7 weeks... my dr said it was fine.. as long as it's not red blood and not heavy... I got to hear the heartbeat at my last appt..

I had brown spotting the day my period was due and had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 6 days and the baby had a heart beat and I had a few drops of brown blood the next week and was so scared so I went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound and saw the baby and the heart beat and at 8 weeks the spotting stopped and I'm now 10 weeks.

Ive only had brown discharge after sex sometimes. It went away the next day!! I guess that is normal because my pregnancy is 100% healthy!!

I did all the time, sounds pretty gross but I would wake up to blood in my underwear but everything was fine, I had a miscarriage last year in may, so I expected the worse too but it was alright, They said it was normal just my cervix was changing, and also having sex could have caused it.

Thank you all for your stories. I'm praying things are ok. I go for my second ultrasound to check for viability on the 18th. I'm just a disaster after having gone through this same thing in February. Good luck to all of you!

I just went through that myself. I had 2 ectopics this past year and when I saw the little bit of spotting I feared the worst. I had an appt scheduled for the next day already so I waited and told the Dr. He did an exam and u/s said the baby looked great and was growing on schedule and heard a strong heartbeat of 170. He told me not to worry unless it got to be heavy, had bad cramps, or turned bright red. It lasted 3-4 days and now its gone. It was also around the time I would have started my period. I was 8 weeks then and 9 weeks +4 now.

Thank you so much for your story. I am on day 4 but it has definitely "slowed". (Although it was never heavy, if you know what I mean). I am praying that today will be the very last of it. It is so hard to see it when I wipe.. But come tp thonk of it, i think it is right around the time my period would be due.  I'm 7w+4 today! So glad that everything is going well with your baby!
