cercolge ???

I am 18wks 4days and went to er today cause of sharp pains. Baby checked out perfect and all my other tests did too. Only thing they found of concern is my cervix is really thin and started talking about a cercolge. Has anyone ever had one? What exactly is it and what does it entail? They sent me home with strict restrictions. Basically bed rest and told to follow up with ob Wed.

Ok thank u, if they say it needs to be done it will be. I'll do anything to keep this Lil one in as long as possible. I was on bed rest with my last 2 but it was never this bad.

I have never personally had one but a friend had twins and was a high risk pregnancy. She said it hurt but it worked.   You wouldnt want to not do it and end up delivering too early.  They can only do them up to a certain time period too

That's what I thought. Is it painful? Does it work?

They sew your cervix closed until baby is done baking.
