Preparing for my second csection. Spinal with the first and expecting the same this time. My sister had an epi with hers but she had a stalled labor that ended in emergency csection so she went in surgery with an epi. I didnt have any pain meds before surgery which is why I got a spinal.

Thry usualy do an epidural or a spinal.
I would ask for a spinal personally as my epi wore off and I felt my csec but thats just my experience everyone is different :)

I've had two c sections and will be having my third with this baby, I didn't experience any pain during or after it was done, they keep up with your medication pretty well, it just hurts to cough and laugh and stuff like that afterwards. The procedure itself is pretty quick and you won't feel a thing.
